Miley Cyrus I’m Sooooo NOT Engaged

Yes, she wore a ring and yes, it was on her ring finger -- but Miley Cyrus still can’t figure out why everyone thought she was engaged ... because it ain't true!!!

Why curvy women will always score above size-zero ones?

I have often hated the media/advertising industry for the manner in which they impact our mind, brainwash our sensibilities and make us believe not just an alternate view but its exact opposite, i.e. absolute lies.

Kareena's powerful performance in naked look at Bollywood shennigans

Film: "Heroine"; Starring: Kareena Kapoor, Arjun Rampal, Randeep Hooda, Shahana Goswami, Ranveer Shorey, Govind Namdeo; Directed by: Madhur Bhandarkar; Rating: ****

Somewhere deep within the corroding flamboyance of filmdom, there is a tale of heartbreaking compromises and immorality tucked away from the naked, tearless eye. Madhur Bhandarkar nearly gets to the nerve centre of that world, and then pulls back just before he's really gotten there.

"Heroine" is an intriguingly unfinished film - partly in the rapidfire mood of a game show and partly like an elegiac melody played gently on an antique piano with immaculate fingers. It lacks a centre, sometimes even a focus as it tries to cram in too many incidents, episodes, scandals, controversies and plain absurdities that are an integral part of Bollywood, so much so that the first hour or so gets suffocatingly airtight.

And then you realize towards the end, that the world of the superstar Mahi Khanna traps the star, makes her a puppet of success, traps her in a web of deceit and finally throws her into a whirlwind of vaporous deceptions.

The closing moments have that gut-wrenching element which made Bhandarkar's "Chandni Bar", "Page 3" and "Fashion" among the more sensitive dramas in recent times.

We see Mahi, shattered forlorn and bereft, trapped in a car surrounded by merciless television journalists. As the haunting background score by Salim-Sulaiman builds up to a shattering crescendo, Mahi's hands fold together in a plea of mercy. In moments our hearts bleed for Mahi.

God help those who are cursed with stardom. They first have to struggle to get there. And then they must continue to fight to cling to their place. And then, as Govind Namdeo playing Mahi's quietly faithful secretary tells her: "An actress' life-span is by its very nature limited".  More

The celebrity magazine also said Barrymore is pregnant with the couple's first child. Representatives for the actress did not immediately return calls for comment on Sunday.

This is the third wedding for Barrymore, who was previously married to bar owner Jeremy Thomas in March 1994, filing for divorce less than two months later, and comedian Tom Green in July 2001, with Green filing for divorce less than six months later.

Indian Idol 6' promises to shock with great talent

As evident from the promos, the sixth season of popular singing reality show "Indian Idol" will not only strike an emotional chord but also promises to shock the viewers by showcasing the amazing talent that breeds in the country.

While the show will see Anu Malek, Salim Merchant and Sunidhi Chauhan taking the judges' seats again, it will have a fourth judge in singing legend Asha Bhosle.
Indian Idol 6
"This year's 'Indian Idol' will leave you shocked with the kind of talent it is going to have," Malek said at the launch of the show here.

He said they were looking for someone who has a unique voice quality.

"Our focus this year is the voice quality. The quality of the voice of the singer should not resemble as that of anyone else. It has to be unique, something that is their own," said Malek.

Malek, Chauhan and Merchant have travelled across 21 cities auditioning people and picking up the right talent among thousands of aspirants.

While some were from small towns, some belonged to villages where there is no electricity.

The judges said their focus remains on finding a soulful and contemporary voice rather than just good looks.

"I don't think we will watch the performances keeping in mind good looks. This time it is only about the voice. The standard of this season is much higher than the previous ones," said Merchant.

Chauhan, who recently got hitched to composer Hitesh Sonik, said she was amazed to see that all the aspirants that they got a chance to audition had come fully prepared for it.

"The journey to hunt for the right voice was difficult. But it was interesting to see how all the contestants had come with full preparations for their auditions," said Chauhan.

Emma Stone Suffers Wardrobe Malfunction at Met Gala

Emma Stone is one good actress. Behind all the smiles and pretty poses at the Met Costume Institute Gala in New York City on Monday night, she was hiding a terrible secret: there was a huge hole in her Lanvin dress! The "Amazing Spider-Man" star appears to have busted out the back of the cherry red hand-embroidered mini right where it zipped up. In photos taken of Stone, 23, sitting in a car on her way to an after-party, she can be seen showing the giant tear to Lanvin designer, Alber Elbaz, who looks shocked and perplexed. But Stone is no diva. Instead of throwing a fit or demanding a new dress, she simply slipped on a maroon-colored coat to seamlessly cover up the hole for the remainder of the night.

The dress proved to be a lot more trouble than it probably was worth. Earlier in the evening, on the steps at the entrance of the Metropolitan Museum, Stone was seen trying to fix something on the front bodice of the dress (perhaps one of those hand-sewn crystal flowers?) as actresses Leslie Mann and Rashida Jones attempted to help her.

Despite the gaffe, Stone was still one of the best-dressed stars of the night. Other standouts included Beyonce, who showed off her post-baby bod in a practically see-through Givenchy Haute Couture gown, Jessica Alba in a gold Michael Kors creation, and "Vampire Diaries" actress Nina Dobrev in a custom-designed show-stopper from Donna Karan Atelier.
